Session 7: Learning About Excellence ii

The songs in Media for Transformation: Session 7 were inspired by the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program text called, Learning About Excellence. The following is a list of concepts explored in the songs on Session 7:

+ Re-examining our own beliefs to and search for underlying truths

+ Dangers of pride and ignorance - barrier to recognizing internal prejudice or racism and breaking the generational cycle

+ How being close minded leads to a lack of recognition of humanity’s nobility

+ Propaganda, and how the news and media frame our perception of society

+ How competition leads to division and disunity and does not encompass the need for all of humanity to progress

+ When we strive to lift everyone up, to achieve one common goal, then everyone is a winner

+ Utilizing our gifts so that everyone can prosper and not just ourselves

+ Relying on prayer and the Creator to unite humanity in order to achieve a common goal
